Step ❶:

Gather all your materials, (list of materials listed above).

Step ❷:

Depending on how long it takes your laminator to heat up you might want to already turn it on.

Step ❸:

Decide if you want a double sided door hanger or if you want to cut the template and make two separate door hangers.

3a – One double sided door hanger:

  • Insert the printed download into your lamination pocket and laminate.

  • Score the line between the front and back of the door hanger, then fold on the creased line.

  • Apply Glue or double sided adhesive on the blank side of one of the door hanger designs, ensuring to overlap edges to ensure good adhesion. (If you decide to use a glue gun, please note it might be best to glue after you have cut around the edges as the glue from a glue gun can be a little tough to cut)

  • If not using a glue gun, to stick both sides together, aligning the two designs as much as possible, if needed allow your adhesive to dry.

  • Once adhesive had dried cut out the door hanger and it’s ready use!

3b- Two, single sided door hangers:

  • Insert the printed download into your lamination pocket and laminate.

  • Cut along the black outline of each design, and both door hangers are ready to use!

Laminate n Create Tips

To make a sturdier door hanger, you have 3 options:

#1: Glue a sheet of cardstock to the blank side of the page before laminating.

#2: Laminate the door hangers with 2 lamination sheets before cutting, laminate the sheet in one lamination pocket, then place the laminated pocket into the second lamination pocket and pass it through your laminator again.

#3: Use a thicker lamination pocket, standard lamination pockets are about 3mm, but you can find 5mm pockets for a studier end result.
